So you’re mid game, your team mates are counting on you to hold your own, here comes a tank and all of a sudden your game crashes. You are still on Ventrillo and you hear your buddies panic as they get ripped apart limb from limb, and it’s all your fault you n00b!
If this happens to you more often than desired, you can try the following work around to stop the issue.
In game go to the Options menu.
Click on Display Mode and once its up choose Windowed(no border) instead of Full Screen.
Test this out by playing for a while. In most cases you will not crash anymore. If you do still crash, there is another option you can change. In the same place as you made the previous change (Options>Display Mode) try setting Multicore Rendering to disabled.
Apparently on some systems there is a bug with the full screen viewing of the game. Do not worry about having to play the game in Windowed mode because with no borders it will look the same as Full-screen mode, it just kind of tricks the game. I am sure eventually they will patch this because Valve is awesome and they really take care of their customers.
I hope this helps! If not feel free to discuss your problems below and other users may provide helpful input.
